Episode 31: How to Avoid Content Creation Burnout

Have you ever felt like you were scraping the bottom of the barrel when it came to generating ideas for content marketing? Or maybe you had ideas but you just felt burnt out when it came to posting on instagram or writing blog posts?

Content creation for online businesses really isn’t optional if you want to be successful. However with online platforms becoming more and more saturated, meeting the demand for quality content without a sustainable system can lead to exhaustion.

In this podcast episode I share some uncommon tips for avoiding burnout including easy content creation strategies and ways to nurture your creativity so that you can produce the right amount of content that will keep your audience engaged without sacrificing the quality of your content.

Episode Highlights:

  • Be intentional about how you consume content.

  • How to have the right expectations about your content performance.

  • Design detailed goals.

  • Create content you enjoy.

  • Outsource content creation.

Action Steps:

  • Create a to-do list for yourself when you’re on social media so that you’re more careful about how you’re using the platform rather than just setting a timer for yourself.

  • Make a list of what your data baseline is for your online platforms so that you can start celebrating small wins AND identify where you might need to make some changes.

  • Instead of setting a big hairy audacious goal, set mini goals that are action specific, time specific, and data driven. Details that answer the who, what, when, where, and how.

  • Say goodbye to a platform that you cannot stand or

  • Outsource that content to a virtual assistant or collaborate with an expert.

I have conversations with teacher creators all the time about how to get out of this feeling so if content creation burnout is something that you’re struggling with right now - reach out to me either via email or on instagram and let’s brainstorm some ideas.
